Dear Dr. Braitstein,
I want to bring to your attention—if you are no=
t aware already—a translational medicine conference on HIV research
that is being organised jointly by the Cell and Lancet journ=
als.
The theme of the meeting, which takes place in San Fr=
ancisco from November 3 to 5, is “What will it take to achieve
an AIDS-free world?”. Our objective is to bring together—and b=
ridge the gap between—clinicians and basic researchers whose focus is=
on understanding, managing, preventing, and curing HIV/AIDS. Members of th=
e organising committee include Ken Mayer (The Fenway
Institute, USA) and Robert Siliciano (John Hopkins University, USA),  =
;and we have assembled an outstanding group of speakers, including Anthony =
Fauci, David Baltimore, Fran=E7oise Barr=E9-Sinoussi, Jay Levy, and Eric Go=
osby.
Further details of the conference can be found at
http://www.translationalmedicine-lancet-cell.com/HIV/index.html. The d=
iscount for early registration has been extended to October 4.
Please consider registering for what promises to be a=
n exciting meeting, and I would be grateful if you would pass
on this information to any of your colleagues who might be interested in a=
ttending.
Best wishes
Pam Das
